It's a hands on meal at St. Peter's College Medieval Feast
For some, the eve of Ash Wednesday is called Shrove Tuesday, a day that evokes pancakes as a feast leading up to lent. In other quarters, sometimes French ones, it’s Mardi Gras, an infamous party of reckless celebration.
At St. Peter’s College and at the Abbey, the Tuesday leading into Ash Wednesday is the Medieval Feast celebration, a good time of gathering, costumes and entertainment in a celebration of all things “medieval.” Link to full story here.

Chamber of Commerce set to host after hours business networking event
There’s a chance for local business owners and managers to get together, socialize and network in a relaxed atmosphere courtesy of the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce. The Business After Business Networking Event happens on Wednesday, February 28 from 5 – 8 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Lounge in Humboldt. Link to the full story here.
Archives Week activity invites history detectives
For Archives Week in Saskatchewan, the Humboldt and District Museum launched a special activity on Saturday, February 10 that carries throughout the week. Some of the Museum’s extensive collection of photos is on display, and paper reproductions are set throughout for patrons to have a look at. The photos represent a pictorial history of clubs and organizations in Humboldt. Link to the full story here.
Ellen Froese, the latest audience delight at the Watson Museum
Ellen Froese is an incredibly gifted singer-songwriter who’s making a definite mark on the Canadian music scene. Partners Family Services selected as one of four agencies to offer Integrated Youth Services
Humboldt is one of four communities in Saskatchewan to host new Integrated Youth Services (IYS) sites designed to be an access point for various supports to people aged 12–25. The province made the announcement via a release on January 30. Link to the full story here.
