On Dec. 17 at 3:52 p.m., Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for areas of Central Alberta.

Heavy snowfall is expected tonight and Wednesday (Dec. 18), with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm.

Snowfall will begin in western Alberta this evening, spreading eastward through Central Alberta by early Wednesday morning.

The heaviest snow will fall during the day on Wednesday.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
