Southeast Saskatchewan was rocked with heavy snowfall and wind chill values dipping to -35 Celsius due to an Alberta clipper that passed through the area.
Snowfall values are still being calculated, but the weather agency estimated that 15 centimetres would fall in the area. Heavy winds were also experienced, with gusts reaching up to 60 km/h. As a result, highway conditions were in poor condition. Reports on social media showed that snowdrifts formed and blowing snow caused visibility to be reduced.

Snow drifts can also be seen inside Estevan, some of which reached a foot-and-a-half tall. Estevan city crews were clearing snow off of Priority 1 streets early in the morning. According to the South East Cornerstone Public School Division's website, a number of bus routes have been cancelled for the morning due to poor road conditions. This includes:
- Estevan City
- Estevan Rural
- Macoun
- Weldon
- Lampman
- Stoughton
- Alameda
- Carnduff
- Carievale
A number of highways continue to show reduced visibility as the wind haven't wavered yet.
- Highway 47 north from Handsworth to the Trans-Canada Highway 1 near Grenfell
- Highway 48 east from Kegworth, through Kipling, towards the junction of Highway 9
- Highway 9 from Carlyle to the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway 1 near Whitewood
- Highway 13 east from Carlyle to the Manitoba border
Motorists are advised to be careful during their commute today due to the large presence of snow plows, graders, and heavy equipment on the highways. To keep an eye out on the highways, don't forget to check the Trent's Tire Road Reports Link here.
According to Environment Canada, windy conditions are supposed to calm down later today. Stay weather-ready for the ups and downs of the forecast with the Hail Otto Weather Page on the DiscoverEstevan app.
