The Sylvan Lake “Lake rink” opens to skaters for the season tomorrow (Dec. 20) at 4 p.m.
The gates will be open for parking near the rink surfaces.
Ice safety is only monitored in the lake rink area. Beyond that, users are responsible for ice safety. Travel beyond the lake rink and parking area is not recommended.
Skaters are reminded to avoid cracks, pressure ridges, and slushy areas.
“Ice conditions change rapidly,” the Town of Sylvan Lake website said. “Users assume responsibility for determining safe ice conditions.”
