Warm air is flooding across Alberta, producing above-seasonal temperatures in the region.

“Mainly sunny skies are what we're going to see this week, with above normal temperatures,” said Brian Proctor, Meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Throughout this week, the daytime temperatures are expected to be at or above freezing, with overnight lows in the -5 to -10 range.

For this time of year, normal maximum daytime temperatures are about –5, with overnight lows of about –16.

“We're significantly above normal temperature-wise,” Proctor said. “We're seeing less of a chance of precipitation compared to what we normally see this time of the year.”

Snowfall is not expected for the region this week.

“What we got out there right now, will just sit there, but we're not seeing anything big coming in at all,” Proctor said.
