As the year winds down and we’ve celebrated the holiday season, our furry friends have been right by our sides. This month, we’ve received incredible entries that showcase just how special our pets are. Whether it’s through their playful antics, snuggles by the fire, or outdoor adventures in the snow, these Perfect Pets have brightened up our final chapter of 2024.
Let’s take a look at all the amazing pets entered for December’s Perfect Pet Contest—they’re all winners in our hearts!
Milo
This is my handsome boy named Milo! (also goes by egghead lol) will be turning 4 y/o in March! His favorite treats are cucumbers and cheese! Truly a smart young man that can do the basic commands, as well as knows how to roll over, play dead, AND say I love you!
Coco
Coco is our Covid rescue. She brought us comfort and companionship during isolation. She is my shadow everywhere I go, including being my workout buddy.
Ella Sophia
Ella Sophia is a 5 year old Biewer Yorkie. She loves attention, if you stop petting her she will pet you until you pet her again. Ella is the best cuddler. She can distort herself to fit into any space that has direct contact with her humans. She finds the hot spot every time, a great neck warmer! She is a brilliant little Dollie with the energy of a puppy! She knows all her toys by name & can tell time! Simply the best wee girlie!
Nova
She is a fun loving very protective big girl she loves her family and she is also a great mouser and is the boss of the other dogs also she gives the best hugs and best behaved dog we have Life would be boring without her and less hairy lol
Tank
Tank is my graburater you never worry about left overs and don’t leave anything on the counter he is big and he can reach things very easily He ate pizza of the counter a pound of butter and lots of breads we now have things in microwaves and cupboards out of his reach but is a mommas boy and loves to cuddle he gives the best hugs
Lusy
She is playful,funny and loving kitty
Wilma
Wilma is a rotweiler that resides on the farm, keeping an eye on the operations and protecting the livestock when she eventually leaves the yard.
Briggs
Briggs is the best family dog ever.
Bo
Bo we got from Bright Eyes Rescue as a 3 month old puppy. He is the sweetest boy who loves truck rides, going to the farm and LOVES people. He can’t wait to visit with anyone. He always has a smile on his face ready to greet you!
Latte
She is my firecracker she always greets people with a vigorous bark and shows her 4 teeth very affectionate to her 4 owners and that’s it she throws all her 4.5lbs of weight at you when she charges at you oh I would be lost without my furry baby Miss latte ❤️
Mocha
Mocha is furry buddy that follows me everywhere making sure I am okay Everyone loves Mocha along as you rub her belly she’s your friend for life she is my old girl and has been around a lot of my puppies she had to put up with all the puppies bugging her when she wanted to sleep The best singing dog I have she howles to a lot of songs on the radio she loves the songs Daneil plays lol I see her slowing down which makes me sad she also gives the best hugs ????
Bauer
Bauer is a 2 year old Basset hound that can steal your heart with his sad looking droopy eyes but don’t let those fool you. He is always getting into something whether it be burying the kids hockey equipment outside, stealing snacks from the cupboard or opening door handles to help himself into a bed. He’s always up for a game of fetch and loves spending time at the dog park with other doggies.
Daisy
Daisy is newly adopted from BEDR. She is a sweetheart who loves belly rubs. She is also a smartie, working hard to learn new tricks.
Trixie
This is our daughter’s 13-year-old Jack Russell, who she received from her godmother on her 10th birthday. Her nickname is “Piggy” because she loves rolling in the dirt, lounging in the sun, belching, farting and inhales her food. She has been quite the addition to this family and has been known to steal hotdogs from around the campfire.
Goliath
Fixed male goat, ( pictured with his mum) born April 2024.
Winnie
We adopted Winnie from Bright Eyes Rescue. We went to Pet Value in Estevan just to look at and pet the puppies. Well when we saw those stunning blue eyes she had us. We brought her home and she had a hard start. Within a couple of days we could tell something wasn’t right and she was sick. We took her to Prairie Animal Health Centre and was diagnosed with Parvo. With great care from the vet and a lot of TLC she made it and hasn’t slowed down or looked back. She has grown into a big spoiled suck. She loves being outside even in the cold. Has endless energy to play, loves sleeping in bed with her humans and getting never ending pets. Winnie celebrated her 1st birthday December 11th. She sure is a beautiful and loved dog.
T-Bone
Tbone is a 6 year old dachshund standard size. He is extremely loyal to his people and loves to cuddle. He is always doing crazy things that keep us laughing. His favourite things to do are sleeping, eating, playing ball and fishing.
Coco
Coco will be 14 years old on January 18th. He is a senior and loved so much. He loves his walks so much … When it’s not cold out, he doesn’t like winter at all. And his Teddy toys are his favourite for sleeping with and tug of war.
Daisy
Daisy is the perfect pet who loves to cuddle and lay on her back. She brings us hilarious items every morning ranging from, gloves, puzzles, toques, brushes and what ever else she can find.
Rider
Our granddaughter was having severe night terrors as a young infant. She would have them up to 10 consecutive days. After ruling out any medical conditions a specialist suggested a pet. He said you'd be surprised what a pet can do. So long story short her mom got a puppy. From that day forward the night terrors ended. Rider is named after the Saskatchewan RIDERS!
Jake
Jake is 5 years old, just like me. He loves to go for rides in my gator.
Jasper
Jasper is our 7 year old Mastiff cross with Boxer. He loves to go for walks, but he mostly likes his sleep!
Annie
Annie is a 7 month old toy Australian shepherd. She is a bundle of energy and constantly showing off her athletic abilities. She loves to play fetch and play in the snow.
Bandit
Bandit is 4 years old, and we've had him some he was a puppy. He is our "first child" who gets into almost as much trouble as our human kiddos (our 3 year old and 10 month old!) Bandit is amazing with our kids. He loves to go on walks, do tricks and function as our living doorbell. He's a great dog and we love him so much!
Nova
Nova is the center of attention whenever we go around town, especially when she flashes her giddy smile. Nova got her name because she was always running around and sliding on her tummy like a shooting star when she was a puppy. She loves belly rubs and will never say no to treats.
As we prepare to welcome 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the joy our pets have brought into our lives this year. Their loyalty, love, and endless energy make every day a little brighter, no matter the season.
The winner of December’s Perfect Pet Contest will be announced on Tuesday, December 31, with the final Perfect Pet of 2024 receiving $50 gift cards to both Rodeo Dawg and All Creatures! Thank you to everyone who shared their pets with us this month—and all year long.
