Some Shaw/Rogers customers in Lacombe were experiencing an interruption to their internet, television and home phone services. 

The company says it is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Affected services included Internet, Business Internet, Phone, Business Phone, Digital TV, VOD, Gateway, Xfinity TV, and WiFi Access Points.

Crews have determined the outage is due to a fibre cut caused by vandalism. 

As of 10:25 a.m., Shaw released a statement noting that repairing a damaged fibre line can typically take 8 to 12 hours.

Full restoration of services may take longer if the damage is extensive.

The company says it will provide further updates once available.
