RCMP have made a second arrest in relation to a November armed robbery at a convenience store in Blackfalds.
On Nov. 11, 2024, police responded to a report of a robbery with a firearm at the Blackfalds 7-Eleven. Two people in scream masks entered the store, threatened the staff and discharged a shotgun into the ceiling. The suspects left after taking cash from the till.
On Dec. 17, 2024, Jackson Mackenzie Cann, 19, of Red Deer was arrested and charged in connection to the robbery.
On Jan. 8, 2025, Blackfalds RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS) with the assistance of Sylvan Lake GIS and Blackfalds General Duty officers located and arrested 21-year-old Red Deer resident Quinlan Louis Bradford. Police executed a search warrant locating additional items used in the robbery including masks and an airsoft handgun.

- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence.
Bradford was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Jan. 9, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
RCMP are not looking for any additional suspects in this investigation.
