You'll want to get out and enjoy the weather over the next few days with an upper ridge continuing to bring warmer temperatures to Central Alberta.
Todd Bate is a meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.
"It appears that the warmer than normal weather is going to continue until at least Thursday with highs generally above zero," said Bate.
Daytime highs for Monday and Tuesday are plus two and plus one for Wednesday and Thursday.
That's when Central Alberta will see a return to winter.
"There's a system that's going to be moving through on Thursday bringing a chance of rain or snow. In the wake of that system it appears at that point temperatures will plunge," explained Bate. "It will be a sharp turnaround in the weather for sure. Temperatures are going to plunge in the minus 20's by Friday night and by the weekend temperatures should be struggling to reach the mid minus teens."
The normal daytime high for this time of year is around minus 7, with overnight lows of around minus 18.
