It was determined that some personally identifiable information, such as social security numbers (SNN) and medical information was involved.
PowerSchool is continuing to investigate and is coordinating with districts and schools to provide more information and resources, including credit monitoring or identity protection services if applicable.
PowerSchool has contacted the SIS customers whose data was involved.
There is no evidence that credit card or banking information was involved in the incident.
“We take our responsibility to protect student, family, and educator data privacy extremely seriously, and we are committed to providing customers, families, and educators with resources and support as we work through this together,” the PowerSchool website said.
