UPDATE: Wednesday, Jan 15, 2025, 11:50 AM
Travel is still not recommended on Highway #42 between Dinsmore and Beechy. The highway was not given the favourable update applied to Highway 342 east of Kyle, upgraded to only partly covered roads after a travel not recommended designation this morning.

The majority of the region is still reading partly covered roads due to snow and ice. As you can see above covered roads are no longer reported each direction out of Biggar, but the snow conditions responsible have made their way to Highway 31 between Plenty and the Highway #4 junction. Things are looking seasonal in the Unity area as temperatures have been at or above zero all day.

Travel is not recommended east of Kyle on Highway 342 to Beechy, the designation also applying for Highway 42 north to Dinsmore.

The Outlook area started the morning above freezing, and like a majority of the region are looking at plus temperatures in the forecast today. That has led to partly slick roads around the entire region, with a mix of ice and slush affecting west-central highways. Until the sun comes up, the situation on the roads will be one worth monitoring.
The worst of it is around Biggar as covered roads are noted for each direction out of town. Roads are noted to have loose/swirling and drifting snow joining pavement frost and other snowpack conditions.

Drifting snow and ice seem to be the main problem for the rest of the surrounding region. The only seasonal driving spots are noted south of Kindersley on Highway 21, and between Eston and Elrose on Highway 44.
The rest of the region is reporting partly covered roads, so maybe build some extra time into your morning commute.
