The Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame announced their six newest inductees earlier this week.
Two of the inductees are the late Frank Bourgault and his son Gerry.
Frank founded Bourgault Industries in St. Brieux in 1973 and helped established the company as a pioneering force in the agricultural equipment industry.
In 1980 the company introduced the first tow-behind air-seeder which paved the way for sustainable dryland farming practice of zero till.
Gerry joined Bourgault Industries in 1975 and assumed the President's role in 1989. He played a big role in growing the company to 500,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space, mostly in St. Brieux. Gerry's vision also helped the company market its products on a global scale.
This year inductees will be formally inducted into Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Saskatoon on April 26.
