A new family doctor is now available to provide care to residents in Red Deer and area.
Dr. Ibrahim Ogunbi is working out of Easthill Medical Clinic (3020 22 Street). He will also be providing services at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.
Individuals needing a family doctor can call 403-343-0115 to arrange a meet-and-greet appointment.
"Family doctors are vital to the health of Alberta families and communities," said Adriana LaGrange, Minister of Health and MLA for Red Deer-North. "Dr. Ogunbi and his family are a welcome addition to Red Deer, and he is sure to be a great asset to our community."
Easthill Medical Clinic now has six physicians on staff.
Dr. Ogunbi received his medical education at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and has been in clinical practice for more than 15 years prior to coming to Canada.
"I am elated to be in Red Deer," says Dr. Ogunbi. "I find the city residents to be very accommodating and endearing, and I am glad to be contributing to the overall well-being of the people of the community."
Alberta Health Services says it is continuing to recruit physicians across the Central Zone to meet community needs.
