The Weyburn Kin Club is hosting their second meeting of the 2025 calendar year tomorrow at the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop. Starting at 7:30 p.m., they’ll be reviewing their first meeting of the year earlier in the month and planning new upcoming events. Rebecca Olson, treasurer for the Kin Club, explains what to expect at the meeting.
“So, we have our second meeting of the year here. We have a raffle that's coming up here right away, so we’ve got to organize that and get our prizes going. Then, we're going to discuss possibly another puzzle tournament in the spring and start planning our pumpkin roll for the fall.”
The Kin Club will have three of their members participating in this year’s TeleMiracle. On March 1st and March 2nd, they’ll be assisting with running the facilities, the set-up and take-down and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment. Also, there will be two workers operating at the registration desk to assist in registering volunteers to help with the event.
For those interested in the Weyburn Kin Club themselves, or in attending the Thursday night meeting. Olson says that everyone is more than welcome to attend and see what the Kin Club has to offer.
“We're always willing to have anybody come join us. If you want to, just come and sit in for a meeting. You can also message us on Facebook to find out more. We’re always looking for new members and look for events on our Facebook page.”
The meeting will once again take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop and for those interested in joining the Kin Club or would like more information, they encourage people to visit and message them on their Facebook page.
