The Sylvan Lake Fire Department (SLFD) was called out to several fires Thursday morning.
One was a structure fire on Laurel Road in Sylvan Lake. RCMP say they were called to assist around 9:08 a.m. It is believed the fire started in the garage. The fire was not suspicious.
The other was a structure fire on Kuusamo Close in Red Deer County. RCMP say they were called to assist at a workplace fire around 10:15 a.m. Police note that it appeared the fire was started by a piece of machinery before it was ultimately contained. There were no injuries and the fire was not suspicious.
