If you believe in superstition, then you may not have been surprised that the Red Deer Rebels lost their 13th game in a row Friday night in Lethbridge.
Red Deer kicked off their busy 3-game weekend with a 4-1 loss against the Hurricanes.
Three power play goals in the first period were more than enough to defeat the struggling Rebels. They would be short-handed five more times in the game.
At the 2:03 mark of the second frame, Talon Brigley would get Red Deer on the board with his 5th goal of the season.
In the third, Lethbridge would add on another goal and a final 4-1 score.
Goalie Peyton Shore stopped 32 of 36 shots and would play the entire game.
The Rebels are now sitting in 9th place in the Eastern Conference of the WHL with 36 points after 44 games.
Hopefully tonight's game back at home will be a lucky one for the Rebels as they are also celebrating Wooly Bully's (the mascot) birthday.
Game time is 7 pm at The Peavey Mart Centrium against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
