Estevan Police Service officers responded to a busy weekend of calls, including arrests for intoxication, multiple assaults, impaired driving, and ongoing investigations into thefts and hit-and-run collisions.
On Jan. 24, police arrested a local woman on outstanding warrants. Due to her significant level of intoxication and inability to care for herself or participate in the release process, she was held in custody until sober.
Later, police were called to a disturbance at a local liquor establishment. By the time officers arrived, the matter had resolved itself, and those involved had left. No further issues were reported.
That day, officers also attended a commercial business alarm. A property representative was not immediately available to provide access, but police continued attempts to contact the business owner, who eventually attended. The alarm was determined to be false.

Officers also responded to a fight in progress at a local liquor establishment. A 39-year-old man from West Pine Ridge, Man., was arrested and held in custody until sober.
While at the establishment, a friend of the arrested man demanded a ride home from police. After being denied and instructed to arrange alternate transportation, the individual called police dispatch to repeat his demand and falsely reported a crime in progress. He also threatened to assault a woman to prompt police attendance. Officers returned to the scene and arrested a 46-year-old Regina man for public mischief and public intoxication. He was held until sober and given a future court date in Estevan Provincial Court.
