The Lacombe Performing Arts Centre (LPAC), has a space for local artists to mingle and create.

Every Wednesday morning from 10am to 1pm, you can drop in for free studio time at LPAC.

Ali Clayton, the LPAC Community Programmer describes the program.

"We have a room set up with tables and chairs. We provide coffee and tea and an open house style that people can pop by with whatever projects they're working on, and create in the company of others. Art can often be a very solitary feat, so we're just providing space where artists can come together to create and connect with other people."

On average the program will see around 7 people participate, so there's definitely room for more. Clayton says any artists are welcome to attend. The main point is just getting out there and meeting people.

"Some of the painters like having feedback from the other people in the room. This is our second year running this and we've seen some neat little friendships that have been established in the time that people have been coming."

Registration is not required, and supplies are not included.
