Upgrades to the Bentley arena will impact the community-favourite summertime event, the Bentley Rodeo.
The upgrades to the facility include replacing the existing underfloor heating and cooling system, and potential drainage improvements.
Work will begin in March and is expected to be completed by September.

“With the work having to be done throughout the spring and summer to not affect hockey season, our event is going to have to be put on hiatus for the year,” said Jeremy Park, Chairman of the Bentley Rodeo Committee. “We do intend on returning in 2026 with our regular rodeo.”
Despite the cancellation of the rodeo, the weekend will still feature pancake breakfasts, a parade, a bench show, Kruzin West Show N Shine, and a fireworks show.
The Town of Bentley is now working with Lacombe Regional Tourism to potentially bring other events to the community.
“Bentley still has a lot of things going for it, the small downtown core, and the farmers market,” said Marc Fortais, Bentley’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). “It will still be business as usual for the community.”
