It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Lance Randall Deagle of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in his seventy-third year on January 27, 2025, in Long Term Palliative Care.

Lance was born on February 2, 1952, and raised in Moose Jaw, the oldest child of Margaret and Garnet Deagle, soon followed by a sister and two brothers.  Lance was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He was a painter, an artist, car guy, hot rod builder, sheet metal worker, dry waller, sometime plumber or electrician, and cook when the need arose.  Lance was honest, truthful, caring, understanding, the best friend a person could ask for.

Lance was predeceased by his father Garnet Deagle; and by his grandparents Joseph and Bertha Deagle and James and Margaret Noble. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Patricia, his mother Margaret Deagle of Moose Jaw, SK;  daughters Michelle (Duane) Doell of Chaplin, SK; Kimberly (Ashley) Large of Medicine Hat, AB; stepdaughter Angela (Kelly) Caragata of Moose Jaw, SK; stepson Brad Kennedy of Moose Jaw, SK; grandchildren Jora Doell, Jack Doell, Kesler Doell, Ben Large, Sam Large, Jessica Daly of Vancouver, B.C., Kimberly Daly (Nick Folk) of Regina, SK, and Dylan Mack along with Dylan’s mother Tammy Mack; step grandchildren Cheyenne Caragata (Dean Stirling) and Joey Caragata; step great-grandchildren Ella, Zeke and Drew.  Lance also leaves to mourn his loss his sister, Wanda (Mike) Mawson of Belleville, ON; brothers Wade (Carol) of Lemberg, SK and David (Rayal Pockett) of Moose Jaw, SK as well as aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Lance attended Westmount Elementary School and Peacock Collegiate; he went on to further his education through STI in Moose Jaw and Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon, where Lance received his Journeyman’s papers in Sheet Metal.

Lance and wife Pat were heavily involved with the Hot Rod Car Community, not only in Moose Jaw, but other centres as well.  He enjoyed doing road trips with Pat and they took many trips across Canada and the US, trying to hit as many US states and car shows as was possible in a short time, making many new and lifelong friends along the way.  Their last long trip together was in 2023, when they travelled to Ontario, Niagara Falls, Vermont, New York and across the upper US.  From Moose Jaw to Mississippi, to the California coast, the Alaskan Highway and Vancouver Island, you name it they likely seen it.

THE DEAGLE FAMILY WISH TO THANK THE FOLLOWING:  Dr. Jamie  Stushnoff  for his wonderful care of Lance over the years and especially for his many visits and the care he gave Lance while he was in Guardian Grove;  to the nursing staff on Guardian Grove for the dignity of care, the comfort they gave to Lance and the respect of Lance’s wishes during the short time he was with them; to the Spiritual Care Team of Providence Place for their many prayers with the family during this time;  to everyone who visited, phoned, texted, used messenger, sent cards, e-mails, and condolences on the Web Site.  It was all very much appreciated. Thank you to those who donated to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan in memory of Lance.   Thank you to the car community not just Moose Jaw, but from across Saskatchewan and the US, your support means a great deal.
