The southbound lanes of the QEII have reopened near Airdrie.
Airdrie RCMP are still advising that road conditions are extremely poor, as tow-trucks work to clean up the multiple collisions on Highway 2.
RCMP had reported earlier today that the southbound lanes of Highway 2, between Highway 564 and Balzac were closed, and traffic was at a standstill, due to multiple collisions in the area.
The roadways are still being reported as icy and visibility is very poor, with white-out conditions.
Motorists are asked to avoid travel if possible.
