Nominations now open for Sylvan Lake's Youth Spark Awards

Nominations are now open for Sylvan Lake's Youth Spark Awards.

The awards honour youth who make a positive impact in the community. 

The winners of each youth category will be entered to win the Youth Excellence Citizen of the Year Award.

How to nominate

Complete the online nomination form
Deadline: 5:00 PM, March 31, 2025
 
Award Categories

• Inspiration Award (Ages 8 – 18)
• Service & Caring Award (Ages 8 – 18)
• Arts & Culture Award (Ages 8 – 18)
• Athletic Ambassador Award (Ages 8 – 18)
• Spark Champion: Awarded to an adult who has gone above and beyond to be a champion for youth in the community (Ages 19+) 

 Who can be nominated?

• Live or go to school in Sylvan Lake, OR
• Live within 15 kms of Sylvan Lake and have gone to school in Sylvan Lake
• Must fall within the age range by the nomination deadline
• Winners may only receive a Youth Spark Award once in their lifetime
• Nominators must be outside the child’s immediate family
