Estevan Fire and Rescue respond to collision and fire alarm

Estevan Fire and Rescue had a relatively calm week, responding to a two-vehicle collision and a commercial fire alarm.

On Jan. 27, 2025, at 4:15 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision one mile west of Estevan. Firefighters worked alongside EMS and the RCMP to assess the scene and assist those involved. Fortunately, there were no reports of entrapment, and only minor injuries were sustained.

Then, on Feb. 1, 2025, just after 8 p.m., EFR responded to a commercial fire alarm in the city’s North Central area. Crews investigated, and it was confirmed that no emergency was occurring; the alarm was triggered by a technical issue.
