The Drayton Valley RCMP have charged an O'Chiese First Nation resident with multiple traffic violations.

On Jan. 22, members of the Drayton Valley RCMP were conducting proactive patrols and observed a vehicle violating the Traffic Safety Act.  

A traffic stop was initiated where RCMP identified the driver as 24-year-old Trey Justice Raine of O'Chiese First Nation. 

Raine was charged with failing to comply with release order conditions, operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license, having an incorrect license plate on a vehicle, and driving an uninsured vehicle on a highway.  

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace, and released with a court date of Feb. 18, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Drayton Valley.
