On Tuesday, a water line broke at 5614 58th Street in Lacombe.
Due to the extreme cold weather and to ensure the safety of employees and equipment, city staff will allow the water to flow into the catch basin at the intersection of 56 Avenue and 58th Street until Thursday (Feb. 6).
The ice accumulation in the area will be monitored by city crews until repairs begin.
City staff do not expect road closures in the area, but traffic could be redirected if necessary.
