It was a tough ride for the Eagle Sky Estevan Bruins as they fell to the Humboldt Broncos 4-1.
In the first period, both teams went scoreless with the Broncos breaking that tie with one goal in the second.
The game spiralled from there with the Broncos charging through the third with three goals, with the Bruin's only response coming from Kieran Ronan's goal.
They'll look to regroup for a tough weekend as they face a doubleheader against Flin Flon on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, one Estevan team did see success last night as the Estevan great North Bears got a win against the Notre Dame Hounds 7-5 in Affinity Place.
It was a tough first for the team as the Hounds came out strong in the first, scoring three goals to the Bears one and getting the early lead.
However, the Bears came back and handily won the second, scoring four goals and shutting out the hounds.
Then in the third, both teams scored two goals and the Bears were able to hang on for the win.
Now the Bears will head to Warman to face the Wildcats on Saturday.
