For this Friday edition of our We Love love submissions we are heading back to the 1990's with Tammy and Darren.
Tammy had quite the story about how her and Darren met :
"A single dad with 3 sons & I was a single mom with 1 son. He came into my work one day and we started talking, I’ll be honest not a typical I guy I would go for it was the 90’s & he was wearing a fanny pack. In 1998, and we started to date and on our 2nd date, we were at a house party, and my friend was having trouble with her stove. He jumped up and said let me look at it. He said “ I think it’s a Fuse and I have one in my fanny pack” Everyone was in shock. He got the stove going! I thought to myself holy crap This guy’s MacGyver (from the 1980s TV show). I said out loud “that’s the man I’m gonna marry”. And the rest is history we became a blended family Raised our 4 sons together and now 27 years later we have 6 grandchildren. It’s incredible how something so unexpected like the fanny pack and a random fuse turned into a life long love story!"
After many years together it was easy for Tammy to come up with all the things she loves about Darren:
"He always knows just what I need whether it’s a small gesture or a grand surprise. I adore the way he looks at me his love shining through every glance and his cute smile. And then there’s his MacGyver-like ability to build or fix anything. I am constantly amazed how he can turn any idea into reality."
