It was a medal winning weekend for the RDP Kings and Queens curling teams.
Kaylee Raniseth, the 2024/2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Female Curler of the Year, helped to lead the RDP Queens to gold at the ACAC Curling Championships hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic.
NIck Woznesensksy made an impact on the ice for the RDP Kings, helping his squad earn ACAC silver. Both the Kings and Queens will compete at the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada College Championships held February 24-28 in Lethbridge.
Teryn Herder, a member of the silver medal winning RDP Mixed Curling team, was named to the ACAC Mixed Curling All-Conference team. In addition, Brad Hamilton, RDP Curling Head Coach, was selected as the ACAC Curling Coach of the Year.

The Queens Hockey team defeated the SAIT Trojans twice.
Both RDP Basketball squads were downed by the Briercrest College Clippers at home.
The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Volleyball team picked up a pair of victories while the Queens Volleyball team was edged in Saskatchewan.
This week, the Red Deer Polytechnic Indoor Track team will host Running Room Grand Prix #2.
The RDP Volleyball squads will face the Olds College Broncos in a home-and-home series.
The Kings Hockey team will play the Briercrest College Clippers twice at home.
The RDP Queens Hockey team will compete against the Rattlers in Medicine Hat.
Both basketball squads will tip-off against the Olds College Broncos.
