Icy road conditions have resulted in several vehicle collisions across Central Alberta this morning, including the shutdown of the QEII southbound near Red Deer.
There have also been collisions reported near Ponoka and Sylvan Lake.
A fresh layer of snow overnight has led to the poor road conditions.

Periods of light snow are expected to end late this morning turning to a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of flurries.
The wind is becoming north 20 km/h, gusting to 40 this morning and then light this afternoon. The high for Tuesday is minus 13. The wind chill is minus 21 this morning and minus 26 this afternoon.
