The Big Six Hockey League's Playoffs could see the end of the first round or the beginning of an upset as the Oxbow Huskies and Carnduff Red Devils face off tonight.
The Huskies originally went up 2-0 in the series, putting the Red Devils on the verge of elimination. The Red Devils managed a 2OT victory on the weekend to keep themselves in the series.
Team manager for the Red Devils Jake Boyes says they've got a chance to take it all.
We're pretty confident coming off the double overtime win their last week heading into their barn were hoping to get the win tonight and bring it back to Cardiff and win game five at home."
The team will have to shake off their earlier losses if they hope to win this series.
"he boys are just been a little snake-bit throughout the series. I'm trying to get folks in the net and some of the guys seem to seem to find it. It's been a real grind. These teams are very evenly matched and it's very competitive, very back and forth and you know we're just looking to get that one goal to get it going and open floodgates."
Whichever team wins the series will be facing off against the Carlyle Cougars during the second round. The dates for those games have yet to be determined.
