The Red Deer Rebels scored three goals in the first period en route to a 4-1 win over the visiting Regina Pats Tuesday night at the Centrium.
The Rebels have won four of their last five games and have beat the Pats twice in the past 11 days.
Beckett Hamilton opened the scoring for the home side midway through the first taking a pass from Jhett Larson and beating Regina netminder Kelton Pyne.
Red Deer would go up 2-0 minutes later when Ty Coupland fired home a shot from the point on the power play.
The Rebels extended their lead to three late in the frame as Talon Brigley slipped a backhand past Pyne for his 40th career goal.
Regina got on the board in the second with a power play marker by Keets Fawcett.
Matthew Gard would seal the victory for the Rebels with a power play empty-netter in the final minute.
Both teams had 27 shots on net. The Rebels went 2-for-6 on the power play, while Regina was 1-for-6 with the man advantage.
With the win, Red Deer improved its record on the season to 20-26-4-2 and sit in 9th spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Rebels will head to Lethbridge Wednesday night to face the Hurricanes. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
Red Deer returns home Friday to take on the Edmonton Oil Kings.
