The Estevan Police Service was busy even as the weekend saw very cold temperatures spreading across the southeast.

Beginning on Friday, February 7th, officers received a report of a male who was possibly intoxicated in the north part of the city. Members located the man and found that rather than being intoxicated, he was having trouble moving in deep snow.

A local business reported vandalism which involved spray painting graffiti on the building, with an investigation underway.

A call came in of a youth driving erratically in the parking lot of a business in the north end of the city. Members attended and spoke with the youth, giving a warning about the complaint.

An arrest was made on a 36-year-old male who had warrants for his arrest from the Moose Jaw Police Service for theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Another arrest was made on a 35-year-old male while officers were doing a conditions check for breaching a conditional sentence order. The man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, ammunition, and two long-bladed knives.

Yet another arrest on Friday had officers attend to a hotel in the downtown to arrest a male wanted on warrants from the EPS. While he was being arrested, individuals located methamphetamine and a large machete on the person. The individual was arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, breach of probation, and carrying a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public.

The weekend kept delivering some calls, as of February 8th and 9th the EPS got 35 calls for service which resulted in three arrests, two driver's licenses suspended, and other calls.

EPS went to check on a Pleasantdale residence as part of a welfare check on a female. Officers found the female was found to be in good health and not in need of any assistance.

Officers also once again arrested an Estevan male on outstanding warrants from the Moose Jaw Police Service. He was subsequently released from custody and will attend Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.

Another arrest was made as Estevan male breached his Conditional Sentence Order, before being remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date.

EPS are also investigating after a report of theft was made by a local business.

Police were in for another arrest as they attended to a residence for a conditions check on a male subject. He had the residence searched as part of the conditions for his release, which resulted in his arrest and charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. He will appear in Estevan Provincial Court on April 7 to speak to the charges.

Once again a report came to the police of youth driving erratically in a local business parking lot. This time members attended the scene with the matter still under investigation.

EPS officers are also looking at a complaint of an individual uttering threats, with that still under investigation.

Then on Monday, the new week began with a  few more calls needing a response by EPS.

EPS helped the Regina Police Service to locate a female in Estevan in relation to a matter they are investigating.  The female was located and documents were served to her on behalf of RPS.

Officers investigated a complaint of an individual failing to pay for fuel during the dayshift, with that investigation locating the individual and resolving the matter.

Police also have a pair of situations under investigation, including a complaint of uttering threats and a victim's debit card being used without authorization.
