The Town of Sylvan Lake is reminding users to help keep the lake clean this winter.
Here are some ways to help protect Sylvan Lake:
- Whatever you take with you onto the ice, be sure to take it off. That includes everything from food wrappers to firewood coals to fishing lines.
- Use the trash cans
- Want to lend an extra helping hand?
- Get a special heavy duty trash bag from the Town of Sylvan Lake Public Works Department
- Fill it up with trash from the ice
- Leave it near the lake access at the pier
- Phone the town, and they’ll come pick it up (403 887 2800 ext. 2)
The Town of Sylvan Lake will only pick up the supplied heavy-duty garbage. There is no household dumping.
