The Blackfalds RCMP Detachment received 118 calls for service between Feb. 4 - 10.
The calls included four assaults, three break and enters, one disturbing the peace, one fraud, two mischiefs, one theft, one roadside suspension, one take motor vehicle without consent, and 17 motor vehicle collisions.
Here are the calls:
Feb. 4
- Police, Fire and EMS attended a motor vehicle collision in Lacombe County where a grain truck turned left into the path of an oncoming vehicle. One individual was transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
- It was reported that community mailboxes in Lacombe County had been broken into. All the locks had been dislodged with a screw driver
Feb. 5
- A business in Gasoline Alley reported a fraud in which an individual purchased items using cash the day before. The next day they reattended, took the same items off the shelf, and tried to get reimbursed for them. The matter is under investigation.
- Police attended the call of a drug impaired male causing a disturbance at a residence in Blackfalds. It was determined the male had outstanding warrants. He was arrested and transported to cells for a JIR Hearing.
Feb. 6
- One male was arrested and charged for an Assault that occurred in Lacombe County. A JIR Hearing was conducted and he was later released on a Court Order with conditions.
- Police attended the call of a disturbance at a residence in Blackfalds. One male was arrested for Assault. He was later released on an Undertaking with no contact conditions.
Feb. 7
- It was reported that a vehicle had been taken without consent while parked in Blackfalds. The vehicle was then located in the alley behind the street that it had been taken from.
- Police are investigating the complaint of an assault that occurred in Lacombe County.
Feb. 8
- While on patrol Police observed a vehicle driving erratically in Red Deer County. A roadside stop was conducted. The female driver provided two breath samples which resulted in “Fail” readings. She was issued an IRS Suspension and the vehicle was towed.
- Police are investigating an attempted break in to a business that occurred in Gasoline Alley.
Feb. 9
- A business in Gasoline Alley reported they had health concerns for a male in their parking lot. Police and EMS attended. The male was transported to the hospital by EMS.
- Police assisted Fire to block traffic and assist evacuating neighbouring families at a trailer fire in Blackfalds. All residents were accounted for and safe.
Feb. 10
- A complaint was received of harassing communications by phone calls and text that is occurring in Red Deer County. The matter is under investigation.
- Police are investigating the complaint of identity theft that occurred in Red Deer County.
