The Spring sitting of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly will begin on Wednesday March 19 with the tabling of the 2025-26 Provincial Budget.

Premier Scott Moe says the session and budget will focus on delivering for Saskatchewan people.

In a release, Moe said, ""We will continue to deliver on our election commitments and deliver better health care, safer communities and the best possible education for our students," Moe said.  "We will also continue to focus on building a strong Saskatchewan economy - one that can withstand the potential tariff threat and protects Saskatchewan jobs."

He added the government will continue to be very engaged in improving Saskatchewan's trade relationships with the United States.

The opposition NDPs are disappointed that it will be another month before the spring sitting begins, noting the Saskatchewan government has ignored their calls for an emergency session to address the concerns of the potential tariffs from the United States.

In a release, Saskatchewan NDP House Leader Nicole Sarauer said, "We are staring down the barrel of job-killing tariffs and these guys can’t be bothered to show up for work.”

She added, "“The Sask. Party is tired after 17 years in office and big losses last election. They just aren’t focused on the future. We’ve seen no evidence of a plan to fight these tariffs, diversify Saskatchewan’s economy and deliver jobs and good wages, now and into the future.”
