The President's Cup-winning Lacombe Generals will open the second round of the North Central Senior AA Hockey League playoffs on the road, when they take on the fourth-place Stony Plain Eagles at the Glenn Hall Centennial Arena Saturday night (Feb. 22) starting at 7:45 p.m.

The Generals swept their opening round best-of-five series against Westlock to advance to the league semi-finals.

Game 2 goes on Sunday night (Feb. 23) at the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex in Lacombe starting at 5 p.m.

The other semi-final matchup will see the third-place Innisfail Eagles taking on the second-place Wetaskiwin Longhorns. Game 1 goes on Saturday night at Co-op Place in Wetaskiwin with puck drop slated for 8 p.m.

Wetaskiwin swept their opening round series against Bonnyville, while the series between Innisfail and Devon went the distance.

The Generals are looking to capture their third straight Vanberg Cup.

Round 2 is also a best-of-five series.
