The weekend was chilly but that didn't stop a number of calls for service for the EPS over a couple of days.

On Saturday, Police started by responding to a false alarm at a local restaurant, with the building later found to be secured.

Then EPS members conducted an investigation that is still ongoing into an attempted "sextortion", in which an individual posts explicit photos of themselves online and is now being asked for money not to publicly post them.

As such, EPS reminded the public that regardless of what security protocols a website has, once explicit content is posted online, you no longer have control of the information, photos or content.

The Saturday ended with a call from a local liquor establishment as they asked for help dealing with a female who was refusing to leave when asked to do so. After attending EPS members made sure the female was sent home in a cab and no further police involvement was required.

Sunday saw calls continue with members conducting a conditions check on a female serving a Conditional Sentence Order. During the search, police found methamphetamines in her possession and she was subsequently arrested and held for court.

A two-vehicle collision was responded to by EPS members in the South end of the city. Both of the vehicles were damaged, but no injuries were reported.

While on patrol several officers observed a grey Toyota sedan which committed several stop sign offences. When officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled from police. Officers did not initiate a vehicle pursuit for public safety concerns. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact EPS at 306-634-4767 or Saskatchewan Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
