The Sask Valley Hockey League is idle this weekend, but not after a few excellent playoff games took place during the week.
The Kyle Elks and Dinsmore Dynamos got their series started Monday night in Kyle, the Elks winning big 7-3. The series returned to Dinsmore on Thursday night as the Elks opening the scoring for a 1-0 lead after one period. Dinsmore scored two in the second, and added another in the third, but two goals in response from the Elks sent the game to overtime.
One extra frame wasn't enough, but it only took a couple of minutes into the second overtime for Josh Uhrich to score for Dinsmore and claim the 4-3 win to tie the series at one game apiece.

Game 3 goes this upcoming Wednesday in Kyle at 8:00 PM, Game 4 in Dinsmore the next night Thursday at the same time. If needed, Game 5 would be played in Kyle in a TBD date.
In the other series, the Kenaston Blizzard and Davidson Cyclones started their East Division semi-final last Wednesday as the Cyclones took a 4-3 home win. Shifting to Kenaston on Sunday the Blizzards won 6-4, Game 3 of the series now not until next Wednesday in Davidson.
