Senior provincial hockey will heat up once again this weekend as teams continue the chase to be recognized as the best in Saskatchewan.  

In the ‘A’ category, the Leroy Braves will begin their series with the Kyle Elks on Sunday in Kyle. The series will shift back to Leroy next weekend, with game two on Saturday, March 1. If necessary, game three would be back in Leroy on Sunday, March 2 with a 3:00 faceoff.  

On the south side of the bracket, the Wynyard Monarchs face the Round Lake Bears. Game one is Sunday in Ochapowace beginning at 5:00. Game two is on Friday, February 28 in Wynyard at 8:00. If necessary, the deciding game is back in Ochapowace on Sunday, March 2 with a 5:00 puck drop.  

In the ‘C’ category, the Lanigan Pirates and Foam Lake Flyers will find out their opponents in the provincial semifinals.  

On the north side, Lanigan awaits the winner of the series between Wilke Outlaws and Eston Ramblers. Wilkie leads 1-0 with game two tonight in Eston. If a third game is required, that will go down on Sunday in Wilkie.  

In the south, Foam Lake will face the winner of the Assiniboia Rebels and Oxbow Huskies series. Assiniboia leads 1-0, game two is tomorrow night in Oxbow and if necessary, game three is Sunday in Oxbow.  

 
The Long Lake Hockey playoffs continue on Friday with a matchup between Foam Lake and Lanigan. The Flyers lead the best of five 1-0, with game two tomorrow night in Lanigan at 8:00. Game three is Sunday at 5:00 in Foam Lake.  

Tonight will mark the beginning of the series between the Drake Canucks and Watrous Winterhawks. Game one is tonight in Drake at 8:00 with game two tomorrow in Watrous at 8:00. 

The semifinals begin in Wheatland Hockey League. The St. Brieux/Lake Lenore Rivals meet the Kinistino Tigers. Game one is tonight in St. Brieux at 8:00, with game tomorrow in Kinistino at 7:30.  

While the Jansen Jets meet the Tisdale Ramblers. Game one is tonight in Tisdale at 8:30, with game two tomorrow in Nokomis at 8:00.  

In the Twin Rivers Hockey League, the East Final features the Birch Hills Blackhawks and Allan Flames. Game one is on Sunday in Allan at 8:00.  

The West final will see the Willow Cree Chiefs meet the Rosthern Wheat Kings. Game one is tonight at the Beardy’s Memorial Arena at 8:30, with game two tomorrow in Rosthern at 8:30.
