Estevan Fire Rescue responded to a series of calls over several days, including fire alarms, carbon monoxide incidents, vehicle collisions, and an elevator rescue. While no major injuries were reported, crews assisted in multiple situations across the city and surrounding areas.

On Feb. 18, around 9 a.m., crews were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in the south-central area of the city. Smoke was found in the stairwell, which was determined to be caused by a mechanical failure in a pump. No fire was occurring, and crews assisted in ventilating the building.

At 8 p.m., EFR was contacted regarding a residential carbon monoxide alarm in the northwest area. The duty officer responded and confirmed no CO readings in the structure. The issue was determined to be with the alarm itself.

Around 8:30 p.m., crews responded to a semi rollover on Highway 18 east. Two occupants were removed from the truck with only minor injuries reported.

At 10 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a residential fire alarm in the south-central area. Crews confirmed no emergency and assisted with resetting the alarm.

On Feb. 19, around 5 p.m., crews responded to a two-vehicle collision in the central part of the city. No entrapment or serious injuries were reported.

On Feb. 21, around 8 a.m., EFR was dispatched to a residential CO alarm south of the city. Moderate levels of CO were detected, and crews ventilated the building. A contractor was called to investigate and repair the suspected HVAC issue.

The following day, around 5:35 a.m., crews responded to a vehicle-deer collision on Highway 39 southeast of the city. No entrapment or injuries were reported.

Shortly after, EFR was dispatched to a single-vehicle incident on Highway 47 north of the city. Crews assisted on scene, with minor injuries reported.
