February may have started off with frigid temperatures, keeping many people indoors, but thankfully, that just meant more time to spend with their beloved pets. From rescue animals who’ve found their forever homes to playful companions who bring joy every day, every pet entered is special in their own way.
Once again, our contestants will have a chance to take home two $50 gift cards—one to All Creatures and one to Rodeo Dawg—and earn the distinction of being named a Perfect Pet!
Who do you think has what it takes to win?
Piglet
Piglet is an adopted rescue from Paws and Claws Alberta. She was found in a box at the dump of a reservation as a pup last fall. We fell in love with her at first sight. Piglet has integrated well with all our other rescues of dogs and cats as well as charming the pants off anyone she meets.
skye
she’s the queen of our house. loves sunshine and cuddles.
Lucy Goosie
She is a total sweetheart, the most loyal creature i have ever seen.
Apollo
I got Apollo around 8months as a gift after losing my first ever dog chesnut a couple yrs ago now, i didn’t think i could ever love another dog like i loved nutnut but here i am lol when i got him he was super scared of everything around him, took him days, a lot of gentle love and treats to come out of his kennel but once he did hes been by my side ever since he helped me through my grief and I helped him through his new world(he even helps other scared dogs come outa their shell now and it’s amazing to watch) he’s super smart, loyal and has a gentle soul. He loves giving kisses(like literally I think he thinks we are giant lollipops????????)and laying with me on the couch unless it’s go time then he’s the fastest dog I’ve ever seen when he’s running after his ball or playing chase with his new friends at the park???? when I first got him I had a lot of doubt and almost regret because I didn’t think I could love him the same and that wouldn’t be fair to him but he’s changed my mind and I think he loves me more if I’m being honest lol when I was still going to school he got out the one day and was gone for 3-4 days in a rural area in winter this was a month after I got him and I was scared he wouldn’t come to me because farmers say and called for him and he ran but when I called him by his nickname after I found him he came crying to me and wouldn’t stay out of my arms so I didn’t let go. Anyways I can say a lot more but I’ll stop haha basics about him He’ll be 3 in July He’s an Australian shepherd (Red Merle) He’s got one ice blue eye and one hazel eye He’s super smart, very gentle, loyal and driven He’s very quirky and always coming up with new ways to make us laugh, when I FaceTime my mom and she says hi to him he tilts his head back and forth like what the heck is that He shakes when he is scared or super excited He was super scared of people and the world but he’s getting so much better now He loves learning new things and gets happy when he does something he was scared off like “omg I just did that” He’s a big wiggle butt or helicopter butt because his tail with do circles not sway back and forth like normal dogs lol but yeah that’s my Apollo❤️
Shadow
Shadow is almost 3 years old and a purebred Pomeranian with some quirks due to being rehomed but he’s a quiet little fluffball. He’s a bit of a picky eater but with the right treat he will spin and dance for a good treat.
Psycho
Psycho is your typical cat at 5 years old. He’s the biggest cuddle bug at bedtime and will let you pet him for a little bit before he decides it’s time to play fight. He gets the zoomies and is a little weird at times. And if you think dogs are bad for begging you’ve never met a cat like psycho. He will try to be in your lap while you’re eating just to eat whatever you got on your plate. But at least he likes his veggies!!
Ripley
Ripley is 6 year old American Eskimo crossed with maybe Pomeranian. I adopted her 5 years ago from the Estevan Humane Society on Valentines day and brought her home as a valentines surprise for the family. I thought it fitting to submit her as the perfect pet on her 5 year anniversary with us. She is a loving ball of fur, that never tires of playing fetch.
With so many amazing pets in the running, it won’t be easy to pick a winner—but the decision is almost here! Join us tomorrow in the 8 o’clock hour when Dawn from All Creatures joins the show to reveal February’s Perfect Pet!
A big thank you to All Creatures and Rodeo Dawg for making this contest possible, and to everyone who entered their pets this month. Stay tuned to see who takes home the prize!
