Innisfail Town Council is moving forward on the Napoleon Lake South residential development plan.
During a special meeting on Feb. 18, council was presented with a report providing a final subdivision layout, neighbourhood design guidelines, and preliminary lot pricing.
By developing the lots, the town is hopeful to help ease market pressure.
The neighbourhood will include a mix of housing types, including townhomes, duplexes, and detached homes.
“We hope to attract a range of buyers to the area, with detached-home lots starting at $102,000,” said Meghan Jenkins, the town’s director of community services. “Although pricing hasn’t been finalized, the numbers provided on Feb. 18 should give us a good idea of where we will ultimately be.”

Final lot pricing will be presented for council’s approval on March 10.
Council approval will be required prior to work commencing on the infrastructure installation.
Lots are expected to be construction-ready by the fall of 2025.
