The Blackfalds RCMP received 121 calls for service between Feb. 18 – 24.
The calls included two assaults, three breach of peace, one criminal harassment, one mischief, three thefts, one uttering threats, and 22 motor vehicle collisions.
Here are the calls:
Feb. 18
- Police were dispatched for threats with a firearm in Blackfalds. It was reported that a vehicle was chased by a pickup and the driver had a shotgun. The driver and vehicle have not yet been located.
- A Facebook scam was reported that occurred in Blackfalds, and $4,000 had been taken from the complainant’s bank account.
Feb. 19
- A complaint was received that an individual was being extorted for money online in Red Deer County, and threats were being made.
- One male was arrested and charged for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Flight from A Peace Officer, for occurrences that happened in Blackfalds and Red Deer.
Feb. 20
- One male was arrested and charged for Assault in Red Deer County. He was transported to cells and later released on an Undertaking with no contact conditions.
- A call was received of a dispute at a business in Gasoline Alley. It was determined to be verbal. Police attended and mediated the situation.
Feb. 21
- Police attended the call of a two-vehicle collision in Red Deer County where a vehicle had failed to stop for a red light and struck another vehicle. One individual was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- A business in Gasoline Alley reported that a male and female had stolen expensive headphones from the store. The matter is under investigation.
Feb. 22
- A 911 call was received of a disturbance at a residence in Blackfalds. Police attended and mediated the situation. Both individuals were separated.
- Police attended the call of a snowmobile collision in Lacombe County. One female was transported to the hospital by EMS with minor injuries.
Feb. 23
- It was reported that a vehicle had been broken into and damaged while parked at a motel in Gasoline Alley.
- A call was received of unwanted individuals at a motel in Gasoline Alley. Police attended and removed the individuals from the property.
Feb. 24
- Police were requested to do a well-being check on an individual who was not responding to texts or phone calls. The individual was located and well. The complainant was updated.
- One female was arrested on outstanding warrants in Blackfalds.
