One individual has been arrested following a heavy police presence in the Kentwood area of Red Deer Saturday night.

On March 1, the Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of an unknown male who had entered the backyard of a residence and stole a parked vehicle.   

Officers were able to identify the suspect and a search was launched.  

The following morning, police received a report of a break and enter to a residence, where a vehicle was also stolen.   

The stolen vehicle was located, abandoned, a short time later.   

Officers tracked down the suspect, who was arrested without further incident.  

As a result of their investigation, Red Deer RCMP has charged Jordan Bell-Blowers, a 28-year-old resident of Red Deer, with the following offences:  

  • Break and enter with intent  

  • Robbery  

  • Carrying a concealed weapon  

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose  

Bell-Blowers was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.   

He is scheduled to appear in court today, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
