The Blackfalds RCMP Detachment received 155 calls for service during the week of Feb. 25 to March 3.
The calls include three assaults, nine breach of peace, one break and enter, one fraud, three mischiefs, three thefts, three roadside suspensions, and eight motor vehicle collisions.
Here are the calls:
Feb. 25

Police attended a call of a collision involving a pickup truck that rear-ended a semi in Lacombe County. The driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

A call was received of a possible impaired driver in Blackfalds. Patrols were made and the driver was located. He provided two breath samples which resulted in “Fail” readings. An IRS Suspension was issued, and the vehicle was towed.
Feb. 26

It was reported that ATM parts had been located at a decommissioned oil site in Lacombe County. Police attended and determined the parts belonged to an ATM that had been stolen out of Blackfalds two months prior.

A call was received of a dispute at a residence in Blackfalds. Police attended and mediated the situation. One of the individuals agreed to leave the property.
Feb. 27

Police were advised that a person who had been reported missing was located back at their residence. Police attended and confirmed it was the individual who had been reported. She was safe and well.

A business in Gasoline Alley reported that a female had locked herself in their cleaning room and would not come out. Police attended and identified the female who had departed the business upon arrival.
Feb. 28

One male was charged for Driving without Due Care or Attention after almost causing a collision in Red Deer County.

It was reported by CP rail that a male was on the train tracks in Red Deer County which caused a train to make an emergency stop. Police attended and located the male. He was charged for Trespassing.
March 1

A call was received of an intoxicated male damaging property at a residence in Red Deer County. Police attended and arrested the male. He was charged for Mischief Under $5,000 and later released once sober on an Undertaking with no contact conditions.

Police attended the call of a dispute in Blackfalds. The situation was mediated and one of the individuals was transported to a different location.
March 2

One male was arrested and charged with multiple offences including Assault on a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest, Impaired Driving, Possession of Contraband Tobacco, and Traffic Violations in Red Deer County. A JIR Hearing was conducted.

While on patrol a roadside stop was conducted on a speeding vehicle in Lacombe County. The male driver displayed signs of intoxication and provided breath samples which resulted in “Fail” readings. He was issued an IRS Suspension, and the vehicle was towed.
March 3

One male was arrested on outstanding warrants in Blackfalds. He was released on an Undertaking with conditions.

A motel in Gasoline Alley reported a male was acting strange and wanted a room with no money. Police attended and the male agreed to leave the property.
