Keep lids down! Sylvan Lake performing annual sewer line maintenance

The Town of Sylvan Lake is performing annual sewer line maintenance until June 30. 

Sewer maintenance can cause toilet gurgling.

As a result, residents are being advised to keep their toilet lids down.

• Clear any material that could cause sewer backups or blockages
• Make sure wastewater continues flowing to the Red Deer wastewater treatment plant
• Keep your toilet lids down until June 30 to keep any gurgles or splashes inside the toilet
• Fill your p-traps with water to prevent any sewer smells
