Red Deer building permit values rise in February

Red Deer building permit values increased in February, with 49 issued permits valued at $6 million, compared with 69 permits worth $4.87 million in February 2024.

Year-to-date permit values are up significantly, with 73 permits valued at $4.3 million, compared with 92 permits worth $2.3 million in 2024.

Notable permits include:

• Building permit for construction of a new accessory steel building at 4100 77 Street, valued at $1.6 million
• Building permit for tenant improvement for place of worship at 5569 47 Street, valued at $1 million
• Building permit for interior renovations at 20-9109 Thomlison Avenue, valued at $545,000
• Building permit for tenant improvements at 120-4311 54 Avenue, valued at $350,000
• Building permit for construction of a new single family detached dwelling with attached garage, covered and uncovered decks at 123 Everson Close, valued at $281,000
