Dress for Success Central Alberta (DFSCA) celebrated International Women’s Day on Friday, March 7th.

The event included the launch of a new program supporting women and children.

DFSCA launched Mia’s Closet, created as a collaboration between DFSCA, the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and the Breaking the Mould Foundation.

Mia’s Closet is a community driven program that will honour the vision and legacy of Mia Gunter, providing clothing to women and children to help them thrive during challenging times. Mia’s Closet is currently serving women and children on a referral basis from Dress for Success Central Alberta and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.

During the event, two DFSCA volunteers and board members, Rachel Collin and Lee Ann Waines were recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medals for their impact on the advancement and development of women and girls in our community.

Dress For Success Central Alberta is an inclusive community empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services and skills development programs.
