Water service has been restored to affected properties in the North end of Ponoka, along 58 Avenue, between Highway 2A and 52 Street.   

The Town of Ponoka is now asking residents of the affected area to run a tub full of water to remove any cloudiness from the water.

The town has confirmed the water is safe to drink.

The Town of Ponoka responded to a temporary water outage for properties in the North end of the community Tuesday (March 11) morning. 

The town was working to restore water service following a temporary water outage that affected some properties along 58 Avenue, between Highway 2A and 52 Street.   

The cause of the outage was under investigation, but was expected to be caused by a water main break in the area.   

Crews were working on repairs, and water service was expected to be restored in the afternoon.
