Five-point nights from Ollie Josephson and Kalan Lind led the Red Deer Rebels to a comeback victory Tuesday night in Moose Jaw to complete the season sweep of the Warriors.
Josephson netted his first career hat trick as the Rebels fought back from a 4-1 first period deficit.
Riley Thorpe opened the scoring for Moose Jaw at 5:11 of the first, before Keaton Dowhaniuk responded for Red Deer just over a minute later.
The Warriors would go on to score three straight with goals by Ethan Hughes, Thorpe, and Krzysztof Macias.
The Rebels would start their comeback late in the period on a goal by Kalan Lind to cut the lead to 4-2.
Ollie Josephson scored his first of the night on the power play early in the second to continue the rally.
Later in the period Lind put home his second of the night to tie the game at four.
Josephson completed the hat trick with a pair of goals in the third including a short-handed empty netter for his 100th career point.
Peyton Shore earned the win with 22 saves. Red Deer outshot Moose Jaw 49-26 and was 1-for-3 on the power play while the Warriors were 2-for-3.
The Rebels remain mathematically alive for the final playoff spot in the WHL Eastern Conference.
Red Deer visits Swift Current tonight at 7 p.m.
